CFLM La Tuque - Licence amendment

1.

The Commission approves the application by Radio Haute Mauricie inc. to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CFLM La Tuque in order to delete the condition of licence requiring that the station be operated as an affiliate of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's (CBC) national French-language radio network.

2.

The licensee has indicated that in the last few years it has significantly modified its programming by increasing the amount of local and regional information, as well as other types of local programming being broadcast on the station. In fact, CBC programming currently being featured on the station represents only 10% of air time.

3.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

4.

In CBF-FM-8 Trois-Rivières - New transmitter in La Tuque, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-451, issued today, the Commission approved the application by the CBC to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CBF-FM-8 Trois-Rivières in order to operate a transmitter in La Tuque to provide the programming of the national French-language radio network, La Première Chaîne.
