Deadline to commence operations

1.

The Commission approves the application by Rogers Broadcasting Limited for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the Category 2 specialty programming undertaking authorized in Big Pop TV - Category 2 specialty service, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-262, 4 September 2002 (Decision 2002-262).

2.

The Commission extends, to 4 September 2006, the deadline by which the operation of this Category 2 specialty service must commence. This is the final extension to be granted by the Commission with respect to the implementation of this Category 2 specialty service.

The licence for this undertaking will be issued once the applicant has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. The authority granted in Decision 2002-262 will become null and void should the licensee fail to meet the new implementation deadline set out above.
