Revocation of licence

1.

The Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Alert has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CHAR-FM Alert, Nunavut.

The licensee indicated that the station ceased its operations approximately 1 February 2006. Therefore, the licensee has requested that its licence be revoked by the Commission.

Given the licensee's request and pursuant to subsections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to The Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Alert for the above-mentioned undertaking.
