Gentlemen:

Re: Look Communications Inc. Part VII application against Bell Canada

Commission staff is in receipt of a Part VII application (the application) against Bell Canada filed with the Commission by Look Communications Inc. (Look) on 27 April 2007 .   Look submitted in the application that Bell Canada has filed a Notice of Intent to Disconnect to take effect 10 May 2007 .

The application seeks an order preventing Bell Canada from disconnecting the telecommunications services it provides to Look, pending the resolution by the Commission of the dispute between Bell Canada and Look with respect to billing and payment for the disputed telecommunications services.

Given the imminent nature of the Notice of Intent to Disconnect, Look is seeking to abridge the Response and Reply time periods set out in the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure dealing with Part VII applications in order to provide parties an opportunity to file their Response and Reply prior to 10 May 2007 .

Commission staff agrees that the prescribed Part VII application time periods should be abridged so as to resolve the matter as quickly as possible, to avoid the possible disruption of service to Look's customers.

Staff notes that the application was filed by Look on 27 April 2007 towards the end of the day; accordingly, staff modifies the timeframes for Response and Reply in this application and requires Bell Canada to file its Response by close of business 4 May 2007 and Look to file its Reply to Bell Canada's Response by close of business 8 May 2007.

Parties are reminded that where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent, by that date.

Sincerely
