Dear Sirs :

Re:   Part VII application by TELUS Communications Company seeking an order directing Shaw Cablesystems Limited to pay monthly and non-recurring charges relating to Shaw-owned facilities and equipment attached to TELUS' support structures

TELUS Communications Company requested that the date for the expedite hearing scheduled for 9 May 2008 be changed to the week of 19 May 2008.   In a letter dated 13 March 2008, Shaw Cablesytems Limited requested that if the date for the expedite hearing was changed, the schedule for the expedite hearing process be amended.

As stated in Expedited procedure for resolving competitive issues , Telecom Circular CRTC 2004-2, 10 February 2004, given the importance that the Commission attaches to the timely resolution of competitive disputes, extensions of time will generally not be granted.   The Commission considers that the current situation does not warrant delaying the expedite hearing.   Accordingly, the request to change the date of the expedite hearing and the request to amend the schedule are denied.

Parties are reminded that the filing of the responses to the Commission interrogatories are due 25 March 2008 and the 10-page argument is due 7 April 2008.

Yours sincerely,
