Dear Sirs:

RE: Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7280 and Bell Aliant Tariff Notice 335

On 8 October 2010, the Commission received an application by Bell Canada and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (the companies) proposing revisions to their General Tariff – Item 2165 - Calling Features. Specifically, the companies proposed to make the Voice Dialing feature available to business customers and also proposed some minor housekeeping changes.

The companies indicated that a formal assessment of the development work and time-line required to implement Voice Dialing for business customers has been initiated, and that this assessment will be completed by 8 December 2010. The companies further noted that they would be unable to provide an implementation date for this feature until completion of this assessment, and consequently did not propose an effective date for the revised tariff pages.

The Bell companies identified Tariff Notices 7280 and 335 as Group B retail filings.

Given the timeframes identified by the companies, the Commission will be unable to dispose of the application within 45 business days of the date of the application.

The companies are to notify the Commission by 10 December 2010 of its proposed effective date. The Commission will dispose of the application once the company provides the Commission with this information.

Yours sincerely,
