RE:  Amtelecom’s plan for wireless number portability implementation in Aylmer, Ontario

Dear Sir and Madam:

In a letter dated 20 May 2011, Rogers Communications (Rogers), on behalf of Rogers Wireless operating as a Wireless Service Provider, confirmed that it is still interested in obtaining number portability in Amtelecom Telco GP Inc.’s (Amtelecom) Aylmer, Ontario exchange.

Based on the process established by the Commission, Amtelecom was to file its implementation plan and other required information with the Commission, serving a copy to Rogers, by 24 June 2011.  The Commission has received Amtelecom’s implementation plan, and that plan was posted on the Commission’s website on 28 June 2011.

This letter is sent to remind Rogers and Amtelecom about the process that was set out in Commission staff letter of 5 May 2011, which stated that the small ILECs’ updated implementation plans would be treated as applications pursuant to section 22 of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure (Rules of Procedure).

In particular, pursuant to the Rules of Procedure, Rogers (the respondent) may file an answer with the Commission and serve that answer on the small ILEC (the applicant) no later than 28 July 2011.  Any interested person may file an intervention with respect to the application no later than 28 July 2011.  The applicant may file, with the Commission, a reply to any answer or intervention no later than 8 August 2011 and serve that reply on the respondent and the interveners to whom the applicant is responding.

Yours sincerely,
