Re: Wightman Telecom Ltd.’s local competition implementation plan
Dear Sir:
In a letter to the Commission dated 30 June 2011, Wightman Telecom Ltd. (Wightman) submitted that it had not received all the information it requires from Bragg Communications Inc., operating as EastLink (EastLink), in order to complete its local competition implementation plan. Wightman committed to submitting an implementation plan within 60 days of EastLink providing critical pieces of information about points of interconnection, type of facility, and treatment of toll.
In a letter to the Commission dated 30 June 2011, EastLink reiterated certain details that it indicated it had already provided to Wightman. EastLink also provided additional information in response to Wightman’s request, offered a compromise on how its request for fibre interconnection might be achieved, and undertook to provide details of its points of interconnection (POIs) to Wightman as soon as possible.
The original deadline for Wightman to file its plan was 24 June 2011. Based on the 30-day extension granted in a letter dated 10 June 2011, Wightman is to file its plan by Monday,
25 July 2011.
