Renaming of Azteca 13 International as AZ Mundo on the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution

  1. In Addition of three Spanish-language services to the lists of eligible satellite services for distribution on a digital basis, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2006-8, 20 January 2006, the Commission added Azteca 13 International to the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution (the list). Azteca 13 International is a 24-hour 7-day per week Spanish-language general interest programming service originating from Mexico offering a variety of programming, including drama, movies, sports, music, variety, news and religious. The service is not accompanied by English- or French-language subtitles or secondary audio programming.
  2. In a letter dated 27 May 2015, the service provider, AZ TV de Paga, informed the Commission through its Canadian representative, 929 Marketing, that its service Azteca 13 International would change its name to AZ Mundo, effective 15 September 2015. The Canadian representative confirmed that the nature of service would remain unchanged. Accordingly, the Commission amends the list to reflect this name change. The revised list can be found on the Commission's website at www.crtc.gc.ca, by clicking on "TV & Radio," "Programming" and "Access to programs on TV that aren't Canadian," and may be obtained in hard copy on request.
