G4 – Revocation of licence

  1. Rogers Media Inc. (Rogers) has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the English-language discretionary services G4, which was originally granted in Decision 2000-454.
  2. Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Rogers for the above-mentioned undertaking.
  3. In accordance with the group-based licensing approach, Rogers submitted a revised list of the services that form part of the Rogers Media Group. This list, which is set out in the appendix to this decision, replaces that found in Appendix 1 to Broadcasting Decision 2017-151.
