RE: 2020 Wireless Code Compliance Reporting - Procedural Request: Deadline extension
Dear Madam/Sir:
As set out in a Commission letter dated 3 March 2020, wireless service providers (WSPs) are currently required to submit their 2020 Wireless Code compliance reports by 31 March 2020.
On 27 March 2020, Ice Wireless submitted a procedural request on behalf of itself and its affiliates, Iristel, in which it requested an extension to the deadline for WSPs to submit their respective 2020 Wireless Code compliance reports, until at least 30 April 2020, in light of the exceptional circumstances related to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
No parties commented on the extension request.
Staff is of the view that the ongoing COVID-19 situation constitutes an exceptional circumstance that has significant impacts on WSPs, including redeployment of resources.
In light of the above, the procedural request made by Ice Wireless is approved, and the deadline to file compliance reports has been extended to 30 April 2020.
