Subject: Part 1 application filed by Northwestel Inc. dated 6 December 2021: Revised process for supplemental intervention dated 23 March 2022
Dear recipients:
On 23 March 2022, the Commission received correspondence from Daniel Sokolov requesting to add certain information to the record of the above-noted proceeding. That information relates to recent changes to SpaceX’s Starlink services.
On 4 April 2022, Commission staff issued a letter to establish further process for parties to comment on the new information. According to that process, SpaceX was to file comments by 8 April 2022.
On 19 April 2022, the Commission received correspondence from Daniel Sokolov noting that no comments from SpaceX had been posted to the public record of this proceeding on the CRTC’s website. Daniel Sokolov inquired whether the Commission had received comments from SpaceX and, if so, requested that they be put on the public record and parties be provided one week to file comments.
On 20 April 2022, the Commission received correspondence from SpaceX commenting on the supplemental intervention, as had been requested for 8 April 2022.
Commission staff is establishing the following further process:
- Parties to this proceeding may file comments by 29 April 2022. Comments should be limited in scope to the supplemental intervention, the related comments received from SpaceX, and the impact of the supplemental intervention and SpaceX’s related comments on Northwestel’s application.
- Northwestel may then file reply comments by 6 May 2022. Its comments should be limited in scope to the supplemental intervention, any related comments received from SpaceX and other parties to the proceeding, and the impact of the supplemental intervention and related comments on Northwestel’s application.
A copy of this letter will be placed on the public record of this proceeding.
