Wholesale High-Speed Service Rate Comparison per ISP under two hypothetical scenarios - Shaw (15, 50Mbps), Cogeco (30Mbps), Rogers (25Mbps), Videotron (30Mbps), Bell Companies (25Mbps) and MTS Allstream (32Mbps)
Purpose: To compare the end-user costs per month per ISP between Shaw, Cogeco, Rogers, Videotron, Bell companies and MTS Allstream
Assumptions:
- Two hypothetical scenarios considered: 100 Vs 1000 End-Users per ISP
- Only monthly recurring rates were compared (Service Charge and other charges excluded)
- Assumed 100 Gb usage per end user per month
- For 100 End-Users scenario, 100 Mbps ISP interface
- For 1000 End-Users scenario, 1 Gbps ISP interface
- For cable carriers, ISP provides its own interface card (allowed under Telecom Order CRTC 2007-230)
- For MTS Allstream: for 100 End-users, 100 Mbps V-AHSSPI Interface
- For MTS Allstream: for 1000 End-users, 1 Gbps V-AHSSPI Interface
