Radio Saguenay inc. and 7545398 Canada Inc. – Acquisition of assets (corporate reorganization)

1.      The Commission approves the application by Radio Saguenay inc. (Radio Saguenay) for authority to acquire, as part of a corporate reorganization, the assets of the French-language commercial radio programming undertaking CKRS-FM Chicoutimi/Saguenay from 7545398 Canada Inc. (7545398 Canada), and for a new broadcasting licence to continue the operation of the undertaking under the same terms and conditions as those in effect under the current licence. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

2.      7545398 Canada is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Radio Saguenay, which is controlled by its board of directors.

3.      This transaction will not affect ultimate control of this undertaking, which will continue to be exercised by Radio Saguenay.

4.      Upon surrender of the current licence issued to 7545398 Canada Inc., the Commission will issue a new licence to Radio Saguenay inc., which will be subject to the same terms and conditions as those in effect under the current licence.
